What to do in Kobarid
The museum and the Isonzo Front
The Kobarid Museum of the First World War is three minutes’ walk from us. The Italian Charnel House stands on the hill above town.
The Kobarid historical trail
A loop from the centre past the Charnel House, Tonocov grad and Napoleon’s Bridge to the Kozjak waterfall.
The Soča
Swimming, rafting and kayaking. The river at Napoleon’s Bridge is eleven minutes on foot.
The Juliana Trail and bikes
The Juliana Trail passes through Kobarid. Bikes go in the store by the house.
How to get here
By car
About 1 hour 50 minutes from Ljubljana (120 km). From Italy over the Robič border crossing, 13 minutes from us. You park at the house.
By plane
Trieste airport is a 1 hour 20 minute drive, Ljubljana airport 1 hour 45 minutes.
